Samsung T729 AT Commands

Some AT commands that work on the new Samsung T729 (Blast).

Be *very* careful with these commands and use them at your own risk. If you screw up something, please let me know and I will sympathize with you. For example, consider the following command set variations

AT+GCI? # Shows CURRENT country code
AT+GCI=? # Shows ALL supported countries
AT+GCI # Resets the phone

I am still working out a way to get iSync to work with my Samsung. I got as far as getting iSync to recognize and add my phone to the list. But it doesn’t do anything meaningful – yet.

I am trying to use a 3rd pary application to send an SMS message through my Samsung SGH-a177 phone and it fails at the AT+CMGS=55512345689
    ATZ
    AT+CMGF=1
    AT+CMGS=55512345689
    $Details$
    {VAL:26}

What am I doing wrong, I contacted Samsung level 2 support and they said to contact AT&T and AT&T says contact Samsung. This is almost 2010 and I can’t send an SMS through simple AT commands? Crazy. Thanks Tim

    Tim,

    Did you every solve this?

I am using a SGH-U600 and the following worked:

    AT+CMGF=”1″
    AT+CMGS=”55512345689″
    Hello

    Hope this helps,

    Stephen.

I could read the reply once with CMGL, after that all attempts with seemingly valid options return ERROR.

  5. Stephen Alexander says:

Sorry, only need the quotes round the mobile number, not the message format.

    Stephen.

    Regards,
    Stone

  7. Thanh says:

I can’t use AT+CKPD=”1″ it return CME ERROR Operation not allowed. I try to use AT+CMEC=? ==> it return CMEC: (0), (0), (0) or set AT+CMEC=2,0,0 but AT+CKPD=”1″ doesn’t work too.
