In the end, the solution couldn't compete with the plethora of options that are available. As far as funding, from what I've heard, they tried to get VC. I think it was a combination of Jack M. being stubborn and un-willing to give up a stake in the company, a complete and total lack of customers and I assume revenue as well, and finally, CTO Raju B. who burned so many bridges with wasting over 100M in VC funding at the failure known as Cereva.
