more ibrix issues

We simply can’t seem to get over them. Our grid scratch file system is down again. I thought the times when I had to do an fsck are gone. The last time I had to do them before I installed [tag]ibrix[/tag] was when I had some old HP storage arrays. The file system has not been well engineered to attend to cases when they become full… We have a TB file system and the darn thing is reporting 600GB. Â

well, your first problem is that you are using Ibrix! I have had lots of experience with that filesystem, and it NEVER stops having problems. We stopped using them in lieu of Lustre, and have had *none* of the problems that Ibrix had.

    Switch to lustre. Trust me.

  2. Did you have any other problems with LUSTRE ? The thing is although I have a depedency on NFS. I have about 300 grid nodes and another 200 desktops that are nfs clients. Can I run NFS on top of lustre ? Does lustre handle small files and entirely filled file systems well ?
