If you have recently switched to Verizon FIOS and they gave you a Dlink, mostly probably it is a DI-624 with the following f/w details:
Current Firmware Version: 2.43DDM
Firmware Date: Wed, 12 Jan 2005
(while I write this, Rex Grossman just got intercepted!)
If you go to the Dlink website for f/w upgrades, don’t bother. That f/w upgrade process will fail with the error: The version of setting file is not compatible. The reason for that is that Verizon modifies the router before giving it the customer. Not sure what they do with it but I had noticed that my DDNS stopped working after I moved to FIOS.
There is a “de-verizoning” doc out there for all of you brave souls. I just happen to have another DLINK DI-624 handy (from pre-Fios days), so I do not need to be brave :)

thanx for the info. i wish i would have found this earlier.
