As a follow up to my previous post on inames, I figured I should show a live example of an XDI/XRI uses. Its a basic one, but useful nonetheless. When you buy a iname, the company that sold you the iname (aka ibroker) will also provide a Forwarding Service that allows you to create a URL that points to a specified service – FOR EVER
For e.g. I can have a URL that will point to my blog that wont change, even if I change my blogging site !
For the record, all of these point to my blog cause I have registered couple of inames and setup forwarding..

2idi.com reported to me that they are in the process of fixing the system so that the contact pages would work using i-numbers as well.
I am not too worried. Those i-numbers are so crazy that if someone actually remembers them, I’d stay away from them :)
