problem with flock categories – they are not working. Tho I was elated to see the categories window, it does not stick. For e.g. this should have been in “browsers” category but got shoved in “Uncategorized”.. which is my default category. I used performancing and fixed the post.

Sorry I didn’t get back to you earlier, but I forgot that the referrer page is deleted every 24 hours and lost your link temporarily, lol.
OK, here is the code I inserted:

I had a go removing the “orderby=’_id’” part but nothing happened.
I’ve also tried using a different theme, but lose categories altogether when I do that, even with the code inserted. I’m doing something wrong I must be, but just don’t know what it is.

It will help if you can post the code from your theme that show the categories… from a quick look of your page, looks like if you whack the
id=portion from categories code (if at all possible), then it should inherit the font style from the parent and display it like the rest of the sidebar items…cheers
ok thanks very much. Yes, I do use Firefox and now have installed the Webdeveloper extension. The code I use for showing categories is one that I found in the forums, as the categories wouldn’t show at all until I put the code in. Could it be that the code is simply the wrong one for my theme?
But I’ll wait till you’ve had a chance to look at things, and thanks again for your help.
thx much for the note. With blogsome (as with all new websites), the look-n-feel is set in the stylesheets. I will look at your website and let you know what you can change. I am in the middle of a datacenter upgrade so it might take a day or two!
If you are using Firefox (highly recommended browser), then a must-have extension is the Webdeveloper extension. It allows you to edit the css in the browser itself (of any website, for that matter) so see how your changes would look..Once you are satisfied with the changes, you can upload them to the blogsome templates. Blogsome also has a nice backup feature set, allowing you to restore to previous versions in cases of some boo-boos….
Been looking around the forum, and pretty impressed with that sidebar thing you did, and you look like you know what you’re doing.
So, I wondered if I might get some advice from you? Not very computer literate myself as far as customising themes goes as I’m just new at this side of things, and don’t know how to alter the font size in my category lists to the same size as it is for ’search’, ‘month’, ‘archives’ etc. Do you have any idea how I might customise the font sizes in my category lists? Any help would be much appreciated.
