Gmail released its chat service in gmail sometime today. Once logged in, the left side bar shows the online status of your contacts. click on a contact and a small pop-up (really small) appears at the most unexpected location – lower right hand corner. From there, you do have an option of popping it “out” and have a decent size window appear – now on the top-left corner. funny sense of humor they have.
