Expanding on the below post, I found {fetch} tag in Smarty Documentation that will go fetch a URL. http://www.tigr.org/cgi-bin/rajeev/quips will dole out the Tao of Shao, one I have grown very fond of. Oh yes, this shao guy has a website too. Check it out.
