Unfortunately, QuickClaim feature is not available for blogsome.com. We still have to go thru the claim process. I am not sure what the hype is about w/regards to h/w upgrade. I certainly do not notice it.

It also appears that technorati caches info quite aggressively. I changed my title a bit quite a few days ago and tried deleting the claim and re-claiming it. But it picks up the title from its cache and displays the old one.

May be that's there the issues are - the spider may be having issues reconciling its cache and not looking for updates.

wonder what they are running under the hood... ?

I had to use the "Quick claim" feature where you just enter your user & password for the blog account. I tried the version you did first, and I had the same experience. Good point about claiming being different then tagging, I had linked them together in my mind.
